A Bold Step Forward: Joining Fix Auto UK
For Phil Merritt, owner of Smart Car UK car Body Repairs within the Hawksworth Trading Estate, has joined Fix Auto UK, the country’s leading network of independently owned vehicle repair centres.
Elevating to the Major League of Repairers
That bold move, in which he has effectively elevated his business to what he believes is the ‘major league’ of repairers, will mean that the name that sat above his door since 2007 will be changed to simply Fix Auto Swindon.
“We have forged our way as an independent business for far too long,” said Phil, “I am hugely ambitious and I am blessed to have a great team of people around me. But I have felt for a long time now that, to keep progressing, you need to be part of a larger organisation and Fix Auto UK is the best in the business.
“The network spans the length and breadth of Britain and is made up of 130 fellow franchisees, like minded businesses we can call upon for help and support.”
The 20,000sq ft bodyshop houses two spraybooths – one for commercial vehicles – and is staffed by a team of 20 and is unique to the network for it also houses secure internal parking. Managed by David McCarthy, the site has a capacity to repair up 30 vehicles a week.
Strengthening the Network in Wiltshire
Fix Auto Swindon complements the network’s established repairers Fix Auto Bristol, Fix Auto Newbury and Fix Auto Gloucester and is perfectly placed to serve Wiltshire motorists.
